Poem ~ End of War Wish - Sunday, 25 July 1915

Impression sketch of a woman's end of war wish - by Jamie.

A lady that had died in Marseilles
Had placed a stipulation in her will
Stated in her testament was wish
That if she died before hostilities
End that her body was to rest
Initially in the family vault – once
War ended that she would be
Interned in the field of final
Victory – after this that her wish
That she would give her whole
Fortune to the town that bore
Victory  - the wonder is was this
Strange wish ever granted?
