November actions
suggested intentions;
In Germany's the
South and West lands,
Filled with train
congestion of all districts.
The railways
filled with movements
Of Germany's
troops - the news finally
Reached Holland
by November's end.
Communications
halted - 5 days elapsed,
When letters and
papers from Berlin,
Arrived from
south and west in Holland.
Prior
restrictions of border crossings,
Across the German
- Swiss borders,
Became more
restricted, with closures.
Attempts to leave
Germany were no
Longer allowed,
or for anyone to enter;
Germans in
Switzerland were stopped.
All Germans
around Friedrichshaven
Travelling,
despite authorized papers,
Were then taken
back to Switzerland;
Rumors being of
troops moving east.
