Information acquired via America,
Was relayed by the German war
Paper, the Deutsche Kriegszeitung -
A publication of Lakalanzeiger -
Regarding tactics of the British Navy.

A hundred or so obsolete boats -
Old passenger steamers - bought
By actions of the British Admiralty.
Whose work will be to alter them -
To give them guns and turrets made
Out of wood - to form a dummy fleet.

These war vessels, whose employ
Will be, to mystify enemy submarines -
Once disguised they will be weighted,
With stone and cement, to take eyes
Of the Germans from real vessels.

Deutsche Kriegszeitung newspaper,
Of the German forces, further declare
How these false ships will be sunk,
Along important sea routes  - in Danish
Waters and the Belgian coast, in order
To constrict the German war fleet.
