From 11 November
a Press Bureau's release
Emerged a
statement to correct any belief
Of ambiguity,
with regard to Lord Derby's pledge.
With Prime
ministerial authority, was Derby's
Surprise - House
of Commons statement
From 2 November
1915, was given reinforcement.
Upon that date
the government being in line
With prime minister,
said how those
Unmarried men
should, under duty, volunteer.
If these groups
did not take volunteer, steps
Would be taken to
enforce them, before
Any acts were
taken, to gain those men in marriage.
A cut off date of
30 November allowed time
For male youth,
not in any important role
Who were fit to
join, before enforcing 2/11 pledge.
Further more, a
clause that any marriages
Made after 15
August, would disallow
Any of those men
to remain in the married groups.
For those who
claimed being indispensible
To a business, would
be decided by rules
Of tribunals, set
up to consider such special cases.
